Straight Grinding: The Journey of an Entrepreneur with Lemont Williams

Summary

Greetings Listeners!

It’s always a pleasure having someone from my old stomping grounds in the 757 (Norfolk, Virginia) aboard. Lemont Williams and I went to the same high school, lived in the same neighborhood, and make use of the same east coast mentality to drive our passions and fuel our success.

Lemont is fellow Maury Commodore, a graduate of Howard University, a real estate entrepreneur, sports broadcaster, father and product of the Hampton Roads area.

In this episode, he shares his background, real estate investing techniques, and some stories about some of the interesting connections he’s made along the way. One takeaway I got from this episode is that sometimes a change of scenery can serve as a catalyst to you stumbling upon the best version of yourself.

Dream big or go home!

Be Rich: Living a Fulfilling Life with Brian Richardson (BRich)

Summary

Greetings Listeners!

The play on words strikes again!

This is a really great episode! It’s a collaboration with my cousin, Brian (BRich) Richardson, who is a recruiter, entrepreneur, husband, father, farmer, bird watcher, deep thinker and spiritual fellow!

This episode packs a wallop!

It covers everything from Kombucha, essential oils, bird watching, growing food, Jeeps, homesteading, and my favorite topic: people!

Enjoy and be prepared for intellectual stimulation as we make our way out to deep waters. I know we said we wouldn’t, but we ultimately did! Brian signed up for a 30 minute voyage, but he has the gift of gab and I knew he couldn’t put a pin on it in 30! Haha!

Bon Voyage,

Causes: The Ultimate Sacrifice and a Face to a Name

Summary

Greetings Listeners!

On this special episode of The Cave Boat, Captain Michael invites a very inspirational guest, Holly Dillmann, aboard his virtual cruise ship for an enlightening conversation. Holly and Alex Dillmann are the proud parents of Maximus, who was brought into this world despite a tragic period of his parents’ lives. Alex served honorably in the US Armed Forces, and was a Staff Sergeant infantryman in the U.S. Army when his convoy ran over an improvised explosive device (IED) in Afghanistan, leaving him paralyzed from the chest down and changing his life forever.

We thank Alex for his service, which has afforded us all life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

RIP US Army Sergeant Kristopher J. Gould, and thank you for your sacrifice.

Bonus Episode: Toulouse in the Spring Song

Summary

Greetings Listeners! This is your Captain, Michael Cave!

Today I have uploaded a very special bonus episode. It’s a song I composed back in 2008 that I named “Toulouse in the Spring”. I lost the sheet music and audio track I had previously created, so this past weekend I took on a project to find some free software and recreate it from scratch.

Toulouse is a city located in the South of France, in the Midi-Pyrenees region. I studied abroad there in 2001 during my final semester at San Diego State University. The city’s nickname is “La Ville Rose” or “The Pink City”. It really is a magical place, and during my time there, I found myself, and discovered peace.

I think that you can feel that when you listen to the melody of the song. I’ve also included the lyrics I came up with for this song in the episode description in both English and French.

I really hope you enjoy this song!

Fair Winds and Following Seas,

Captain Caveman

The Story: Navigating the World of Book Self-Publishing

Summary

On this episode of The Cave Boat, Captain Michael invites Alexa Nazzaro, Founder of Aaxel Author Services, aboard his virtual cruise ship for a chat about the daunting world of book self-publishing and how to navigate it. I worked with Alexa and her company to publish my book/e-Book and again on my audiobook.

The motto of Alexa’s company is “We Won’t Let You Publish Crap”. This tends to be what happens when you go at it alone. I know some of our listeners have a book inside them waiting to come out, so this episode is definitely worth a listen!

Alexa’s website is is a good place to learn more about self-publishing. She can also be reached at alexa@aaxelauthorservices.com.

 Check it out!
